A collection of deeply sampled, fully playable sitar instruments and effects-processed sitar loops for film, TV, games and album production, playable in Native Instruments’ Kontakt Player.

Voices of India Sitar combines the traditions of North Indian classical music with modern sound design: melodies, phrases and rhythms played on a traditional sitar and sent through a rack of effects create vast soundscapes, evolving drones and melodic textures. The loops were processed with chorus, flanger, phaser and tremolo, reverb, delay and echo, EQ and stereo panning, compression and distortion, plus filtering. Alongside the traditional tunings of the 20-string sitar with seven main and 13 sympathetic strings, the collection also includes alternate tunings for modern genres and experimental compositions.
