The second generation of the dynamics processor with three-band optical compression, built for transparent mastering, punchy mixes and creative sound design.

Sonic Surge 2 combines the warmth of analogue optical compressors with modern digital precision: it models stereo-linked optical compression across three bands and runs in either Multiband or Fullband mode. Detection works in Stereo, L/R or M/S, and the crossovers can be set to 24 dB/oct Linkwitz-Riley or 6 dB/oct slopes. Each band offers drive, tone curves and a mute switch, joined by Dynamic Depth transient enhancement with soft limiting, Harmonic Drive tape-style saturation, Mono Maker, a sidechain high-pass filter and M/S Balance for stereo width. Smart Clip 0dB, a Listen mode and a dry/wet control complete the toolset, and the fully resizable interface supports undo and redo.
