A channel strip plug-in with three independent channels inspired by classic 8-bus mixing consoles, adding analogue warmth to digital tracks.

Sonic Sweep 2 models transformer saturation, the slew-rate character of the NJM4560 op-amp, living console noise with drift and 50 Hz hum, and musical EQ curves. Its parallel/serial blend morphs continuously between parallel summing and cascaded serial processing of the three channels. Each channel offers a fully parametric Hi-Mid (500 Hz to 18 kHz), a sweepable Lo-Mid with variable Q (45 Hz to 3 kHz), first-order shelves at 12 kHz and 80 Hz, a variable Chebyshev low cut (25 to 125 Hz), plus Console Age distortion, EQ Flip, X2 switches, clip indicators and analogue component tolerances. The ECO, NORMAL and HIGH quality modes provide up to 4x oversampling, and the included Sonic Sweep 2 CS is a single-channel channel strip edition for individual tracks that uses roughly two to three times less CPU per instance with identical processing.
