Sonic Dynamics is modelled on a legendary analogue dynamics processor and offers two emulation modes. Modern (Rev D) compresses transparently and precisely with THAT2180 VCAs, ultra-low distortion and fast envelope response, while Vintage (Rev C) brings analogue warmth and subtle harmonic colouration with DBX2150 VCAs, gentle saturation, power supply ripple and characteristic slow envelope pumping. Soft and hard knee curves, peak and RMS detection, an integrated noise gate and a sidechain input with a built-in high-pass De-Rumbler filter cover a wide range of tasks. Zero-latency, stereo-linkable dual-channel processing makes it suitable for vocals, drums, mix bus and mastering.
