A plug-in recreation of a revolutionary 1970s analogue delay and modulation processor for flanging, echo, phasing and delay effects.

Time Modulator recreates the original’s dual CCD/BBD architecture with Reticon SAD1024 simulation and uses a modified dbx 303 compander for its characteristic vintage dynamics. The ADL-70-D (Dynamic) and ADL-60-S (Static) delay modules deliver analogue delay, flanging, echo and phase shifting, a sound featured on classic recordings by Stevie Wonder, David Bowie and Queen and in sci-fi sound effects such as Star Wars. Three function modes (Audio Delay, Time Mod, Phase Shift), six classic LFO waveforms including SSC and Random, and an auxiliary delay with tap and parallel modes extend the possibilities. Comprehensive automation, precise parameter smoothing and a vintage-style preset system with interpolation make it ready for modern production.
