An exciter and bass enhancer inspired by classic late-1970s and 1980s hardware, with two parallel sidechains running alongside the dry signal.

Excitance pairs two independent processors running as parallel sidechains alongside the dry signal. The Exciter generates new harmonic content above the source spectrum, with two clipper modes (the authentic half-wave Rectifier and the smooth Cubic), Timbre morphing from even to odd harmonics, continuous Peaking, Null Fill and a Density mode. The Bass Enhancer reshapes the perception of the low end through dynamics and out-of-phase summation rather than an amplitude boost, with phase invert, AutoTrace and a three-way Mono mode for club and vinyl work. A Spectral Phase Refractor, a 6 dB/oct input high-pass filter, an auto-tuned output shelving EQ, per-section Solo, up to 4x oversampling and a latency-compensated wet/dry mix complete the plug-in.

Features

• Dual processor: parallel Exciter and Bass Enhancer sidechains
• Two clipper modes: Rectifier (authentic half-wave) and Cubic (smooth soft clip)
• Timbre control from even to odd harmonics, Peaking, Null Fill and Density mode
• Bass Enhancer with out-of-phase summation for bigger bass without peak increase
• Bass phase invert, AutoTrace and three-way Bass Mono mode (Off, BB Only, All Bass)
• Spectral Phase Refractor, 6 dB/oct input HPF, exciter stereo width 0–200%
