A TR-909-based kick drum synthesizer with transient shaping, analogue-modelled drive and a reverb send, from classic house kicks to hard-hitting techno kicks.

At the heart of BDX-1000 is a circuit-accurate TR-909 core with a hardware-measured oscillator, diode clipping and LFSR noise click, joined by an ALT oscillator mode with a resonant bridged-T tone. Six tick transient types (Classic, FM, Noise, HP, Chirp, Metal), a body waveshaper for warm even harmonics, a Punch FX section with four filter types and four distortion algorithms, and allpass dispersion with up to 256 stages shape the attack and body. A Mackie-style strip EQ, per-hit Mod Ring modulation, a key-trackable 50-sample layer and the built-in reverb with nine modes, including Room, Hall, Plate, Multi-Tap and Gated, extend the range from authentic 909 character to modern hard-kick design. Chromatic MIDI tracking, a note-length gate, Tune X2 and Decay X2, zero-latency processing and Clip 0dB output limiting complete the instrument.
