The Alan Parsons Imperial Grand Piano is a rare 97-key Bösendorfer Model 290 Imperial, sampled by Alan Parsons and Dave Kerzner for the Yamaha Motif XS/XF/MOXF.

Recorded at Mark Knopfler’s British Grove Studios in London in the style of Dark Side of the Moon, using the same microphones and the vintage EMI TG12345 mixing console, the 9½-foot grand was chromatically sampled at multiple velocities in 24-bit. The download contains a Full version for a Motif with 1 GB of memory and an Eco version for 512 MB; the Eco version has one less velocity layer and fewer samples in the keymap, but no reduced sample rates. The library is part of Sonic Reality’s Alan Parsons Sample Project.
