The education version of Air simulates distance through the natural damping of high frequencies that sound undergoes as it travels through air, for sound effects, mixing, ADR and music.

A single knob accurately recreates the distance of any sound: Air applies exactly the EQ and distance attenuation that real-life sonic events would have and, thanks to scientifically measured air absorption values, is much more accurate than an ordinary low-pass filter. Sound effects gain depth without being re-recorded, ADR blends naturally with the original set recording, and in a music mix you can pull back the presence of individual instruments. The frequency response being applied is shown graphically.
