The education version of Density creates multiple layers of sound from a single track: a voice becomes a choir and a violin a string ensemble, in stereo as well as in immersive formats.

Using granular synthesis and the Sound Particles particle engine, Density applies movement and differences in pitch and timing to the generated voices and spreads them in space. Basic mode creates small or large ensembles with just a few controls, Detune mode offers more advanced control over grain generation and voice movement, and Pitch mode forms several groups of voices with individual pitch, number of voices and gain for choir-like harmonisation. Applications range from music to sound design, from stereo to Dolby Atmos.
