Sound Particles 3 works like a CGI engine for sound: a few samples become thousands of sound sources that you arrange in three-dimensional space, animate and capture with virtual microphones. Thanks to the format-agnostic session, the same scene can be rendered to another format without upmixing by switching microphones, from stereo and 7.1.4 to 6th-order Ambisonics and binaural, and third-party effect plug-ins can be used at clip, track and microphone level. The Professional edition allows up to 10,000 particles per project and unlimited microphone channels and offers batch processing for multiple scenes or versions. According to the manufacturer, the education version has no technical limitations.
