A granular synthesizer with four independent granular layers that turns tiny grains into rich, evolving textures and moves them through space in three dimensions.

Each of the four independent layers in GrainDust plays either your own samples in WAV, AIFF, FLAC or OGG format or sounds from the included exclusive library of more than 1200 samples. Grain rate, density, size, continuity and detune, the sample range used, grain envelopes and five playback modes shape the sound, while filters, envelopes and LFOs work globally or per layer. The 3D engine that also powers SkyDust 3D moves the grains through space and time, with output in stereo, binaural, Ambisonics up to 6th order or multichannel formats such as 7.1.4. More than 250 presets and sub-presets with MPE support, plus an arpeggiator and sequencer, make it easy to get started.
