Snow Drums is a collection of snow and ice impacts that works creatively in place of traditional kicks, snares and hi-hats or as pure sound design source material.

Snow and ice foley was recorded using prepared and natural snow piles, ice blocks and frozen ponds, along with stones, ice chunks and pebbles skittering across a large frozen pond in a narrow canyon high in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. As the stones bounce away across the ice, the impacts take on a spring-like Doppler effect. The sounds are programmed for percussive playability and logically organised, though the library is best suited to sound designers and SFX artists; due to the location, winter wind and other background noise can be heard in places.
