The first volume of the Voices of Wind series, featuring the ethereal, soulful mezzo-soprano voice of singer-songwriter Adey Bell, with chromatic articulations and over a thousand live phrases.

Adey Bell’s rich, nimble and dusky voice blends classical, pop, folk, blues, lounge and jazz styles. For the six vowels Ah, Eh, Ee, Mm, Oh and Oo you get sustains, true legato and staccato syllables with 8x round robin spanning over two octaves, plus live phrases in Bright and Dark categories at 100 and 140 BPM and hummed phrases at 120 BPM, all adjustable with tempo sync, time-stretching, transposition and a step sequencer. The voice was recorded dry with a large-diaphragm Neumann microphone and Sound Devices preamps, and an FX rack with compression, delay, filter, EQ, amp and speaker simulation and convolution reverb, together with 20 sound-designed FX and ambient presets, widens the palette.
