The library explores two sides of Mimi’s style, Light and Shadow, blending ambient, dream pop, EDM and cinematic vocal styles. For the vowels Ah, Ee, Mm and Oo you get sustain, staccato and true legato plus vocal effects, along with 1,295 tempo-synced live phrases at 100 and 140 BPM, organised by mood, key and tempo and adjustable with time-stretching, transposition, phrase legato and a step sequencer. Atmospheres created by Mimi herself in angelic, mystical, haunting and horror sections provide pads, drones, stingers, risers, swells, falls and clusters for tension and dreamlike moods. She was recorded dry with a large-diaphragm Neumann microphone and Sound Devices preamps, and an FX rack with convolution reverb completes the package.
