An extensively sampled Turkish five-string saz baglâma with performance controls for authentic saz techniques, strumming and arpeggios.

All three string courses – low octave, middle and high unison – were recorded with a wide, close pair of large-diaphragm microphones in a dry studio, with 12x round robin and up to six velocity layers across one and a half octaves per string. Palm mutes, choked notes, releases, slide legato and many percussive effects complete the set. Hammer-on, pull-off, slide, choke and palm mute are controlled per string, the Strumulator creates one-key strums, and the Uberpeggiator and Glissatron provide arpeggios and glissandos. 22 sound-designed pads and leads created from bowing and eBowing take the instrument into ambient territory.
