A small, fretless eight-string zither with a smooth, dark tone, sampled close and dry in wide stereo.

This hand-held zither sounds smooth and dark, with a clean, biting attack and a long, natural decay: almost harp-like when played softly, with a pronounced twang when struck hard. Each string was plucked with an average of eight velocity layers and four round-robin variations per layer, plus palm-mute release samples, and every note is also available as a single articulation spread chromatically across the range. Controls for swell, attack, release, transient offset, vibrato, filter and tuning, along with 20 sound-designed FX and ambient presets, extend the possibilities.

Features

• Plucked notes and palm mutes mapped chromatically across all eight strings
• Every note playable as a single articulation
• Around eight velocity layers with four round robins each
• 20 FX and ambient presets
• LFO, filter, glide and arpeggiator
• FX rack with convolution reverb
