A deeply sampled Orff alto xylophone plus two soprano xylophones for classical, jazz, progressive and cinematic scoring.

The classroom alto xylophone has 13 rosewood bars in a diatonic C major scale from C4 to A5 and a warm, plunky tone with a fast decay; it was recorded with felt mallets, along with glissandos and percussive knocks. Two soprano xylophones an octave higher complement it: one with 13 notes and a rounded, playful timbre, the other with 12 notes and a crisp, biting tone, played with mallets and wooden cube hammers. All three instruments were recorded dry in the studio with two microphone positions, 10x round robin and up to 14 velocity layers per note, while 20 organic ambient soundscapes and 20 FX presets extend the palette from horror scores to jazz.
