The Beat Boxer turns the art of East Bay beatboxer JBox (Jerry Girard) into a playable Kontakt instrument combining multi-samples and authentic performance loops.

Kicks, snares, robot and turntable sounds were recorded close and completely dry in the studio with dynamic and condenser microphones – more than 100 articulation types across 11 drum types with an average of 12 round robins. The Megamixer builds kits from 12 slots, and the groove player plays back 104 MIDI grooves by Sashca Knorr, Si Begg, Dirk Ehlert, Brad Jerkins and Sean Gordon with quantisation and swing. There are also 100 live performance loops, 108 glitch, breakcore and FX loops with tempo sync and time-stretching, vocal ambiences and pads, and a multi-FX rack with convolution reverb.
