Sonespheres 1 - Distance opens composer Blake Ewing’s Sonespheres series with atmospheric synths, pads, drones and soundscapes sculpted from acoustic instrument and vocal recordings.

American composer and sound artist Blake Ewing created every sound by hand, guided by a clear artistic vision – from bowed and guitar sounds to piano, rhythmic and textural material as well as tonal, vocal and wind pads. Two independent sample modules, each with its own category and preset menus, offer automatable controls for volume, attack, start offset, release, bass, treble, pitch, pan, filter and LFO, plus a cross-fader, legato glide and a step-sequencable arpeggiator. The FX rack with 18 effects ranges from amplifier and cabinet simulation to a convolution reverb with more than 100 impulse responses.
