Mike Peaslee (tenor lead and falsetto), Gregg Stephens (baritone) and Spencer Nunamaker (bass) sing chromatic sustains and staccatos on “Doo”, “Lah” and “Woh”, which the controls can also turn into pure Oo, Ah and Oh vowels with adjustable duration and attack, plus 356 improvised scat and bebop phrases per voice in multiple keys. In the ensemble presets, automatic voicing spreads the notes across lead, bass, baritone and tenor in four-part harmony, unison mode turns all four singers into a big male chorus across the whole key range, and auto-pan spreads them across the stereo field. An effects rack with chorus, compressor, distortion, amp and cabinet simulation, EQ, delay and convolution reverb with 45 rooms and 25 FX impulses completes the instrument.
