A deeply sampled boys’ choir featuring the award-winning Pacific Boychoir, capturing the sound of a traditional English boys’ choir – from haunting lows to angelic highs.

The 25 boys of the Pacific Boychoir, aged 8 to 13, sing in traditional Catholic Latin, recorded with conductor Robert Geary and choir director Kevin Fox and mixed from 12 large-diaphragm Neumann microphones into stage and hall positions. The library offers 42 staccato and 42 sustaining marcato syllables with round robin, tempo-synced Latin polysyllabic sustains, true legato vowels and effects such as drones, whispers, trills, swells, risers and falls. Two soloists (soprano and alto) sing phrases, staccatos and legato sustains, while 34 pads and soundscapes created from the choral source suit underscoring and hybrid productions. Wordmaster lets you choose from 42 words for two articulation layers, while Phrasemaster advances through syllable sequences automatically and switches between up to 16 sequences via keyswitch.
