A universal solo violin library with two complete solo violins in one package, for life-like duets and rich layering.

Hyperion Strings Solo Violins combines two complete solo violin libraries: for each player, deeply multi-sampled chromatic articulations were recorded along with an extensive collection of improvised melodic phrases in a range of styles, dynamics, tempos and keys. The master presets offer sustains with vibrato of different speeds and intensities, a dedicated sordino section, shorts such as staccato, spiccato, pizzicato, col legno and Bartók pizzicato with four round-robins each, plus crescendos, decrescendos, sforzandos and swells with tempo sync. True legato presets and 1,900 phrases organised by tempo and mood, adjustable via time-stretching, transposition, phrase legato and step sequencer, complete the set. The intimate yet powerful tone with its expressive dynamic range can be shaped with spatialisation controls and positioning of each violin within dozens of rooms, halls, chambers and effect environments.
