A sample library that puts a unique spin on the classic musical wine glass, with rubbed sustains, mallet strikes and ambient sounds.

Imbibaphones takes the wine glass, which became popular as a musical instrument in the 18th century, and adds a martini glass, a champagne flute and a broken glass. Natural finger-rubbed sustains and soft mallet strikes were captured for each type of glass, preserving both the complex resonances of the sustaining notes and the full, bell-like sound of the struck glasses; most sustains were recorded at three different speeds that you can fade between with the mod wheel. Sound-designed atmospheres, pads and effects with short and looping articulations, plus a Kontakt interface with LFO, filters, arpeggiator, scale lock and a modular effects rack with convolution reverb, complete the library.
