Three hand-crafted tuned lamellophones by Bart Hopkin, each producing its own flavour of rattle or buzz with a warmly resonant tone.

Rattletines comprises three unique hand-crafted instruments by instrument designer and sound sculptor Bart Hopkin, each producing its own flavour of rattle or buzz. On the Rattletine, the upper row of tines hammers against small anvils as it vibrates, while the lower row stays clean for a clearer tone; Mahogany and Hacksaw Blades feature tongues with small pieces of metal wrapped through holes, which rattle when plucked, and Hacksaw Blades uses actual hacksaw blades as tongues. Tine plucks and percussive hand slaps on the instrument bodies were sampled with two stereo mic positions, complemented by knock effects, glisses, ambient effects, pads and drones, and 20 effect presets.
