Four handcrafted Hapi Drum steel tongue drums with a smooth fundamental, complex harmonics and a long, mellow sustain.

The instruments come from the workshop of Grahm Doe and Tricia Kelly in Oakhurst, California: the low “Origin” model in D minor (D3 to A4), two mid-range “Slim Tunable” models (A3 to E5) and the small, high “Tini” (A4 to A5). They were recorded with a wide stereo pair of Neumann TLM 103s and a Rode NT-SF1, giving you two tonal options, and played with soft rubber mallets, hard metal picks and nylon jazz brushes. Each model can be loaded on its own, with individual tongues soloed, or all drums can be played together as one chromatic scale. 133 ambience patches and 20 FX presets complete the library.
