The nostalgic sound of the Italian Eko Panda 61 Piano, sampled for Kontakt – ideal for old-school leads and pads.

The Panda 61 Piano was built by the Italian company Eko in the 1960s and early 1970s. Although marketed as an electric piano, its inner workings and warm tone are those of a classic early monophonic synthesizer, with basic waveforms that only roughly approximate e-piano, harpsichord, horns, strings and winds. Soundiron captured seven core voices with infinite sustains and tight staccatos through a pair of Neumann TLM 103s and designed 40 synth patches, pads, drones and atmospheres plus 20 FX presets from them; Octave knob, Glide, LFO, 13 filters, arpeggiator and FX rack shape the sound further.
