Two professional Punjabi dhol drums with more than 110 articulations, from delicate finger strokes to thunderous stick hits.

The traditional Indian dhol is a closed-shell, barrel-shaped drum, classically played as an accompanying instrument in Punjabi Bhangra and the religious music of Sufism. Soundiron recorded a larger and a smaller drum with goat skin bass heads and synthetic treble heads up close, played with sticks, mallets, brushes, hands, fingers and palms, with up to 14 velocity layers and 10 round robins. The treble head ranges from small timbale-like tones to aggressive snare-like sounds, the bass head from deep booms to bending water-drop effects; wooden clacks on the shells, the Megamixer, dual-layer percussion presets, the Uberpeggiator and 22 ambient textures complete the library.
