The vintage analog sounds of the Bontempi HP 544-20, an Italian synthesizer from the late 1970s with 49 keys and a built-in rhythm machine.

Soundiron recorded synth sustains, staccatos, piano and violin sounds and the instrument’s “Magic Chords”, along with 34 tempo-syncable drum machine loops. Everything was captured in a dry studio through a pair of Neumann TLM 103 large-diaphragm microphones and via direct line in, giving you two microphone positions. From this material came 20 evolving atmospheric pads. Attack, release, vibrato, octave layering, glide for monophonic legato, LFO, 13 filter types, arpeggiator and an effects rack with convolution reverb bring these rich tonal colours to any genre.
