A sitar barely half the size of a standard one that still sounds remarkably lush and full-bodied, with plucked, bowed and multi-speed strummed articulations.

Although barely half the size of a standard sitar, it has everything a sitar needs: a gourd body, playing and sympathetic strings, adjustable curved frets (parda), tuning pegs, neck and bridge with hand-painted accents, albeit with only 5 main and 6 sympathetic strings. Alongside chromatic plucks, the library offers two strumming tunings, one in fifths similar to the Pancham-Kharaj tuning popularised by Ravi Shankar and one in unison and octaves. Because several strumming speeds were recorded, a Speed slider, assigned to the mod wheel by default, lets you shape the strum in real time from tight and fast to slow and plucky. Spread across the keyboard, the sound ranges from deep, droning lows to sharp, mandolin-like highs.
