An expressive and versatile jazz vibraphone with two instruments recorded in stunning detail, an Adams Alpha and a vintage Musser, developed with Pearl USA.

Working closely with Pearl USA, who provided hand-selected frames, custom bars and signature mallets, Soundiron recorded a 4-octave Adams Alpha with gold anodised bars and a vintage Musser, capturing lush resonance, singing sustain and the full range of tonal colours that make the vibes such a unique voice in jazz. Hard and soft mallets, open and damped articulations, close and ribbon microphones and up to 6 round robins and 9 velocity layers per note cover everything from a smoky ballad and comping behind a soloist to a hard-swinging uptempo groove. Controls for layering, shaping and motor speed, 20 sound-designed elements and 20 factory presets range from a clean jazz combo sound to lush modern textures.
