Six indigenous Central American drone flutes in the Mayan, Aztec and Zapotec traditions, played by René Jenkins and recorded at St. Paul’s Church in San Francisco.

René Jenkins performed on six of his favourite two-, three- and four-chambered flutes, including the Double Wooden F#4 Drone Flute with its wooden, breathy timbre, the Double Zapotec A4 Clay Flute, the Harmony C4 Flute, the warm-sounding ceramic Quad Clay Flute and the Triple Snake and Triple Zapotec Clay Flutes. The library offers chromatic sustains, staccatos, true legato, chirps, swells, trills and flutters plus over 3,000 live phrases organised by flute, tempo from 80 to 140 bpm, key and style, which can be combined in the phrase sequencer. Three mic positions range from the dry close pair through the lush, wide mid omnis to the cavernous far pair, ideal for film and game scoring, atmospheric songwriting, folk music and sound design.
