A classic pneumatic pipe organ built in 1963 by the Schantz Organ Company for the First Presbyterian Church of Orrville, Ohio, with a mighty, room-filling sound.

With 1,224 pipes in 21 ranks, three divisions and two manuals, it is far more elaborate and powerful than you would expect in a small rural church, filling the space with an epic presence and grand tonal body, perhaps because the Schantz workshop is just a mile up the road in the same small town. Soundiron recorded sustain and staccato articulations with voices such as gemshorn, rohr flute, octave, principal, block flute and trumpet in two microphone positions, plus chimes, zymbelstern, blower and pedal noises for ultimate realism. Custom FX patches and ambient synth pads designed from the source recordings extend its range from video game sounds and bold synth basses to playing straight from the hymnal.
