Two contrasting pipe organs from St. Paul’s Church in San Francisco, recorded individually and together in unison, as a library for Kontakt Player.

The lower “Alpha” organ, built by the Kilgen Church Organ Company of St. Louis and originally water-powered before its conversion to an electric blower, is sweet and silky, its lowest pedal notes resonating through the floor, while the larger upper “Omega” organ by a San Francisco organ builder is thunderous and mighty, with a more powerful blower, larger console and many more pipes. Both were recorded individually and together with multiple microphone types in three positions, close, mid and far, in a lush, pristine hall that is also home to Requiem Light Symphonic Choir. Also included are 30 tonal and dissonant pads, synth tones and ambient dreamscapes, a layered preset with four independent layers, a microphone mixer, an octave effect and an adaptable LFO system.
