The sampled Hohner El Luxe 49P, a portable electronic organ from the early 1970s with a sound somewhere between melodica, accordion and analogue synth.

Hohner’s El Luxe 49P used colourful switches to move between mellow flutes, brilliant trumpet, warm strings and haunting oboe, and came with built-in speakers and practice drum loops. Soundiron recorded it close in stereo and via direct line input, capturing synth sustains, deep bass tones, staccatos, drum loops and keystroke sounds. On top come 20 custom patches and ambient pads plus an effects rack with amp emulation, reverb, delay and distortion. This makes Organetta well suited to video game sounds, bold synth basses or nasal brass solos.
