The first library in the Hyperion Percussion series captures every nuance of a full-scale five-octave Adams Alpha rosewood marimba with Apex frame (C2 to C7). You can choose from four mallet types: Innovative Percussion PC3 medium soft yarn mallets for a warm, rounded character, Promark SPYR SM3 medium yarn mallets for a balanced, classic response, Vic Firth M293 hard yarn mallets for a crisp, precise attack and extra-large soft rubber mallets for a springy, blooming tone. Each bar was recorded individually from a very close, wide stereo position, so you can shape the stereo field across the key range and place the instrument in rooms, halls, algorithmic reverb or environmental impulses on the Space tab.
