A deeply multi-sampled percussion and effects library built around the waterphone, the dramatic effect instrument of suspense and horror soundtracks and sound design.

The waterphone, developed by Richard Waters in the late 1960s, consists of a brass vessel with a water chamber, a long neck and vertical brass tines that are bowed, struck or strummed to create darkly harmonic to dissonant tones. Soundiron played it with mallets, sticks, metal rods, fingers, palms, bows and even voices, empty and filled with water, recorded from the inside with hydrophones, heated over an open flame and filled with machine screws. Waterharp v3 brings an upgraded interface for both Kontakt and Decent Sampler, presets with quick articulation menus and new ambiences, synths and atmospheres. Over 100 pads, soundscapes and atmospheres created from the source material broaden its use.
