aXPanner converts mono and stereo signals to high-resolution Ambisonics up to 10th order, the starting point for your immersive production.

As an Ambisonic encoder, aXPanner gives you control of the azimuth and elevation of the sound source as well as the width between the stereo input channels. Two interfaces – equirectangular and top-down – make it easy to place your sound in space, and a transparent overlay window lets you align the panning with 360 video. The plug-in comes in three variations for first, third and tenth order; to listen correctly you need an Ambisonic decoder such as aXMonitor, as listening directly to the encoder output will not give correct results.
