ReContour is a versatile distortion and tone shaper that dramatically changes the tone and dynamics of audio – usable in all the ways you might use a compressor or waveshaper.

ReContour sits neatly between a compressor and a waveshaper: you get precise control over the transfer function that alters the wave shape, simply by drawing and adjusting the curve, along with attack, release and smoothing. Drive pushes the signal harder, and you can limit the effect to a portion of the spectrum, for example to change the tone or dynamics of just the kicks or to add high-end sizzle. Two banks for the transfer function can be blended with a morph knob, and a little automation creates a dynamics curve that evolves with the music. A graph shows exactly what ReContour is doing to the signal over time; during playback you can hover over it for specific values or click and hold to freeze it.
