Absolute 7 unlocks the whole collection of Steinberg virtual instruments – designed for everything from orchestral scores to emotional songwriting, chart-ready pop productions and electronic beats.

At its core is HALion 7, a high-performance sample and synthesis instrument for playing, tweaking and crafting sounds that serves as a playground for deep sound design and building your own instruments. The rhythm section comprises Groove Agent with deeply sampled acoustic drum kits and percussion, Backbone with AI-powered drum sound design, BeatBox and World Percussion, while Electric Bass, the open-tuned guitar Tales and the seven-string guitar Axe Machina cover bass and guitar. Keys such as Amped Elektra, the sampled Yamaha C3X in Etude, the Model C organ and The Grand 3 piano collection join cinematic sounds from The Orchestra: Colors, Studio Strings and Olympus Choir, plus synths with lo-fi patches, granular textures, a spectral engine, Yamaha’s FM synthesis and the virtual analogue Retrologue.
