Padshop 2 brings together two very different sound engines, the granular and the spectral oscillator, and layers two sounds in parallel, each with its own filters, LFOs, effects and arpeggios – for example to double a sound or combine a pad with an arpeggio. You can import your own samples or choose from more than 570 exclusively recorded boutique samples and transform them into something completely new. The modulation matrix offers 16 freely assignable rows connecting any of 39 sources to 63 destinations. In spectral mode, parameters such as purity and inharmonicity take the sound from pure and very harmonic to raw and gritty.
