The piano collection with five deeply sampled models, including three concert grands, a vintage upright and the Yamaha CP80 Electric Grand.

With up to 20 velocity samples per key, The Grand 3 reproduces dynamics and hammer action in fine detail and captures the full envelope of every note, while sustain and sostenuto pedal support, subtle mechanical noises and true resonance complete the playing experience. The three concert grands and the vintage upright were recorded by a top sound engineering team using high-grade Neumann microphones and preamps and converters specially tuned for pianos, in an acoustic space built for this purpose and without any additional electronic equipment. The samples of the Yamaha CP80 Electric Grand were recorded by Yamaha in Japan, and a Yamaha C7 is also part of the collection. Two microphone positions, close and player, taken from a 12-microphone setup let you shape the fundamental sound of each instrument.
