Iconica Sections and Players is an orchestral library with over 150 GB of strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion and harp, recorded at the legendary Funkhaus Berlin with Orchestral Tools.

76 musicians, 50 of them for the strings alone, recorded the samples over the course of a month in Studio 2 of Funkhaus Berlin – a 400 m² room with a 10.5 m ceiling and a reverb time of around 1.5 seconds. Every instrument was captured with several microphone positions, which you can level, load and route to separate outputs in the mixer. The Cell Rack holds up to 16 loaded articulations in an X/Y grid; each cell is called up via keyswitch, and assigning several cells to one keyswitch stacks articulations. Steinberg’s Adaptive True Legato automatically adapts the transitions to your playing speed for exceptionally natural phrasing.
