FM Lab is an FM synthesiser for HALion with eight operators, additional VA synthesis and FM-X and DX7 emulation – all controlled from an ultra-modern, intuitive interface.

More than 600 original presets from the DX7 and TX81Z are included, each with preassigned effects that you switch on or off via the quick controls. The algorithm designer lets you build your own FM algorithms: every operator can modulate any other operator and itself, carriers can be panned and your algorithms can be stored as sub-presets. Modulations are assigned via drag and drop or in the modulation matrix, with live visualisations showing exactly what is happening – right down to pitch, level and envelope times of each of the eight operators. You draw the multistage pitch, filter and amp envelopes with pen or brush tools, and the Shaper mode cycles through them in sync with the host tempo.
