Drum expansion for Steven Slate Drums, recorded by John McBride at Blackbird Studios with Lady Antebellum drummer Chris Tyrell.

In spring 2014, Blackbird founder John McBride recorded the Blackbird Drums Expansion with drummer Chris Tyrell. The sessions used three of Blackbird Studios’ classic rooms, including the chambers of rooms A and D, plenty of vintage microphones and gear, and classic drum kits from an era spanning fifty years. In Steven Slate Drums, this gives you kicks, snares, toms, hi-hats, ride and crashes with the sound of these rooms.
