A 16-voice FM synthesizer for cinematic sound design, with the Orbiter as a central controller for constantly moving sounds.

In Aparillo, two FM operators with various complexity and ratio modes, waveshaping, wave folding and formant shifting create highly complex waveforms, while a modulatable scale editor stacks up to 16 voices into wide unison sounds. The Orbiter controls numerous parameters across the engine from an XY pad, by mouse animation or by position per note, so every key can sound different. The effect section is a sound source in its own right: the Spacializer, a delay-based pitch resonator, adds an extra synth layer via waveguide synthesis, joined by a multimode filter with comb, vowel and dirt types, poly-autopan, synced delay and reverb. Two interdependent complex LFOs with FM, gravitation, S+H and collision modes, looping envelopes, an arpeggiator, NKS support and more than 500 presets complete the synth.
