An effect plug-in that brings back the character and sound of 1980s samplers and lo-fi devices, from subtle tonal changes to extreme effects.

TAL-DAC emulates the distinctive sound of early digital-to-analogue converters that shaped the sound of the first digital samplers, reproducing their subtle imperfections, harmonics and non-linearities. The recording stage offers input level with a soft clipper, variable sample rates from 500 Hz to 48 kHz and bit depths from 4 to 16 bits using mu-law, mu-law delta and linear algorithms. In the reconstruction stage you choose between hold, variable, linear and S1000/sinc, optionally with very steep filters, while AMP drive, shelving filters and optional 8x oversampling round off the sound.
