The plug-in for the sound of tape recording, from top-of-the-line multitrack machines to humble cassette decks, with additional delay and flange modes.

Rather than emulating a single machine, Satin models the individual components of a tape machine and lets them interact as in the real thing, so you can build your own custom tape unit. The good qualities such as saturation, transient smoothing and compression are as controllable as the bad ones like noise modulation, flutter and hiss, whether for the final sheen on a mixdown or to glue multiple drum tracks together. The Service panel gives you control over hiss, wow and flutter, bias, head gap, azimuth and more, and independently selectable recording and reproduction EQs plus five noise reduction models also make Satin a tool for decoding old tape recordings. Alongside tape mode, Satin offers a stereo delay mode and a tape flange mode with classic through-zero flanging.
