The dbx 160 delivers the punch of the first solid-state VCA compressor.

Its snappy attack makes it a favourite for bass, drum buses and synths, and it gives acoustic guitars and snare drums in-your-face “thwack”. A Dry/Wet control allows quick parallel compression, and a sidechain filter reduces pumping.

Features

• Fat compression for bass, drums and synths
• “Thwack” for acoustic guitars and snares
