The new edition of Waldorf’s percussion synthesizer: virtual analogue sound generation with optional samples, 24 sounds per kit and effects for every single sound – from punchy kicks to melodic percussion.

Attack 3 is the next evolution of one of Waldorf’s most iconic and longest-running instruments, first launched in 2001: its virtual analogue engine captures the sound of 1980s analogue drum machines and the club sound of the 1990s and carries it into today’s productions. Each kit holds 24 sounds, twelve of which can be played polyphonically as pitched instruments; every parameter can be tweaked in real time and automated in your DAW. New are precise phase control and expanded sample playback with velocity mapping and round robin, 24 dB filters, comb filters and sample rate reduction, six drive types, plus two envelopes with ADBDSR mode and two LFOs per sound. Every sound has its own compressor, EQ and effect, and each of the six output buses adds a compressor, EQ and three effects; the scalable interface offers dedicated browsers for kits, sounds, samples and MIDI mappings.
